PITTSFIELD, MA – With his third top 10 finish in the last five feature events, Paul Gilardi has quietly put together a nice string of finishes aboard his Superior Seamless, HigFab Chassis #87x machine.
Saturday evening at Lebanon Valley, the veteran from Pittsfield, MA recorded a ninth place run and that has the team excited, but they are still digging for better.
“The car is good, there’s no question that I love this car,” Gilardi said after the races. “We were down a little on the engine tonight, but the car was excellent so it helped to make up for the engine.”
The driver with six career feature wins to his credit is steadily putting together a solid book of notes about his new HigFab Chassis, and the results are showing that things are working.
“We are gaining each and every week with this car,” he said. “It’s been a great piece so far and I am so glad we went this direction. Jerry and his group at HFC have a good product and it will be extremely gratifying when we park this thing in victory lane.”
With his ninth place run on Saturday, Paul continues to inch ever closer to the top 10 in the Modified point standings at Lebanon Valley. He is now just 30 points behind 10th place Brian Berger heading into this weekend’s event at the Valley of Speed which is presented by Gendron’s Truck Center and CompuWorks. Gates open at 5pm.
