PITTSFIELD, MA – Paul Gilardi and the Superior Seamless Gutters #87x team continue to get better each week. Last Saturday night at Lebanon Valley, the Pittsfield, MA driver brought his HigFab Chassis home in the top 10 for the second time this season.
For Gilardi, Saturday was another major step in the right direction as the team continues to work with their new machine. While he started in the tenth position, Paul was fighting with Brian Berger and Kolby Schroder for a top five spot when the only caution flag of the evening came out for an incident involving Matt Pupello, Denny Soltis, Chad Jeseo and Brett Hearn.
“Our car was very good early,” Gilardi said. “I love the way this car feels and we’re fine tuning on the cars balance. It feels good to run well again.”
Although he was flirting with the top five, Gilardi still feels he has some work to do for long green flag runs with his car.
“The car just got loose as the race went on,” he said. “We still have to get better for later in the feature, but we’re gaining each week.”
At the end of the 30-lap main event, Paul sat tenth, which was his second top 10 finish of the season. Through June 3rd, he is 17th in points, but is only 19 markers out of the top 10.
The team will be back in action this Saturday night as ARG Trucking & Doherty Bros. Construction present a great night of racing action at Lebanon Valley. Gates open at 5pm.
